In spite of the onset of winter, the Farm is a very busy place and there’s always lots going on. Here are just a few of the things that went on last week:
Swan Trust’s Nashville party and fundraiser brought in around $4500, enough for 1 month’s payment on the 1475 acre Big Swan Headwaters Preserve.
Television personality Ricki Lake was here for two days with a film crew interviewing Ina May, the midwives and a nice bunch of moms and babies.
Thursday’s fundraiser dinner helped send the Farm School and crew of a couple dozen folks to the annual peace vigil at the School of Americas, the U.S. military’s torture and covert disruption training academy.

Saturday 50 honor students from across Tennessee came in for a presentation, a tour, vegetarian lunch and a talk by Stephen Gaskin.
They were immediately followed by about 50 nurses coming down from a convention in Nashville for a lecture from Ina May.
