July 1, 2008 Three fox kits were released into Big Swan Headwaters Preserve in a continued partnership between swan Conservation Trust and Walden’s Puddle, a wild animal rescue and rehabilitation center. The kits were rescued when their mother was killed after they had made a den under a shed.
Foxes are are under increasing threat by the invasion of coyotes, with the significantly larger coyotes pushing out the much smaller foxes from their native territory and habitat.
Swan trust is a nonprofit land trust that is engaged in land preservation and protection on Middle Tennessee’s Western Highland Rim.
